Catalpa Erubescens Purpurea

Delivery is not possible. Due to the size and weight of the plant, purchase and collection are only possible at the nursery.

‘Purpurea’ is a unique 6-8m tall tree with a loose, spherical crown and exquisite, red and purple leaves. The older leaves are green-coloured. The white, scented flowers bloom in June- July in upstanding billets. The crop looks like a cigar. ‘Purpurea’ prefers a sunny, warm location and high quality, wet soils. Because of its spectacular flowers and leaves, it is often planted as a solitaire in gardens but ‘Purpurea’ is an excellent choice for plating as an element of plant associations in the street as well.
